The centre of the flower has a round white pearl and individual claw set marcasites representing the stamen of the flower. Marcasites are actually Pyrite all known as Fools Gold. It was used in jewellery due to its ability to catch the light, giving a diamond effect. MEASUREMENTS The brooch measures 8cm 3" in length and 4. 9cm 1. 9" in height.
