Shut the Box - handmade bog oak Go stones A rare Merit game fromA handcrafted one of a kind shut the box, made with bog oak counters mounted on to a brass rail, surrounding a walnut and bog oak playing field. The numbers are painted by hand in a moon yellow onto the counters. An oak frame gives this board a lovely weight. (Bog oak is made from an oak that has naturally fallen in peatland and been preserved and naturally darkened over hundreds or even thousands of years.) The board measures 19. 5 x 19. 5 x 4. 6 cm
