The texture is smooth and finely woven, not shiny. We haven't opened it, and the folded, thread tied bolt weight just 4 ounces and measures about 4" x 14". We assume it's a bolt for lining a kimono, which would be 4 5 yards. From what we can see, it looks like excellent, pristine condition. 100% Silk. Never used, labels still intact, age unknown. Japan.
