19th c. French School, The Poor Mother Design objects 12 (1+2) doubled is 24DESCRIPTION: 19th century French School The Poor Mother Oil on canvas DATE: c. Mid late 19th century NOTES: This work, in my opinion, belongs to the 19th century and shows echoes of the French artist Eugene Delacroix. The scene is a common one in the 19th century the poor destitute young mother. The artist's signature is not legible but it would appear to be potentially an old sketch by artists like Hughes Merles or Leon Perrault. DIMENSIONS: Height
